We all get into these unexplainably inconvenient ruts in life. Whether it be that you car continuously breaks down, you can't seem to stop breaking things, or you keep losing stuff. Whenever our lives seem to take a dip we tend to go downtime path of least resistance. The path of the negative mindset.
Wallowing can be okay. Take the time to let yourself feel annoyed and work through that emotion. Not to long though, it's important that you stay focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how bad the situation, stay focused on the bright ending of your journey through those personal struggles. I'm as guilty as anyone of getting caught up in the frustration and annoyance that accompany certain situations. However, I truly feel my best when I simply take a deep breath and continue on. Working through your problems, whatever they are, will make you feel better and build up your mental strength which you can use to combat those negative thoughts. I hope that no matter what is going on in your life that you are not alone. So, push through these low points so you can get to the beautiful view at the top of the emotion mountain you are climbing. xoxo, Hunter

xoxo, Hunter We all know the feeling. The moment your heart begins to race, you feel like a cinder block is sitting on your chest, and your mind begins to flood with so many thoughts that you can't even manage to grab ahold of one of them. Almost everyone at some point or another has felt the feeling of complete and utter anxiety.
For some people anxiety is a single discernible moment or situation. For others like myself it is more like a string of days, weeks, or months that begin to blur together. Whatever it is for you I encourage you to speak up about it. We all have heard the critics that tell us "its all in your head", "you're doing this to yourself you know", or my personal favorite "you can control it". Well ladies and gentlemen I'm here to tell you that none of those things are true. You most definitely can not control it. A wise woman once explained anxiety to me in a way that made me feel a little less crazy and a little more human. She told me that anxiety is simply your body reacting to a situation. Now those of us who have experienced anxiety start to think, "no kidding". But hear me out guys. In everyones life from birth to the present you experience things, good and bad but, these are all things that your brain stores whether you realize it or not. So, when your going through your everyday life and a simple smell, temperature or feeling reminds you brain of a past event that it has decided to store under the dangerous category it sounds all of the bells and whistles it can to save you. Your brains job is to keep you alive. So when someone tells you that your anxiety is all in your head, well lets just smile and nod at those uneducated people because they have no idea just how extraordinary the brain that is housed in your head truly is. xoxo, Hunter "BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD." Change is a good thing. This is something I struggle with but also something I'm trying to embrace. When I started this blog I was in the last leg of my senior year of high school. Now, I'm in the homestretch to my associates degree. I've changed more than I ever thought possible in just these past two years. As an extension of this I believe this blog should change as well. I would love to start posting regularly but first this website needs a face lift. I'll be back in no time with a new look and a new vibe. So be on the look out for new content!
