I LOVE the Fourth of July and for the longest time I had no idea why. Only recently did I realize that it has everything to do with the quote from Patrick Henry- “Give me liberty or give me death!” I mean I love spending time with my family and all the yummy food that comes with that, but to live in a country where people are willing to die for what they believe is right offers such a sweltering feeling of pride and empowerment. America is a country of diversity, strength, and perseverance. That's why I love the history of this country so much - being able to look back at where we came from and all the influential people who made the nation that we are today possible. We are the Land of the Free - because of the Brave. I love the Fourth of July because it is a day where we all pay respect to them whoever they were/are for whatever they did. Whether we agree with them or not, whether or not we would do the same thing as them. July Fourth is a bipartisan holiday of respect and admiration.
